Tubal Story #1

I have never wanted children. I could never imagine anything so horrible as the idea of having a little, smelly, screaming chunk of responsibility following me around whining and tugging at me for 18 or more years. Fortunately, in 1997 at the age of 30, I had a tubal ligation!

The surgery was no problem. I woke up nauseous from the anesthesia, but that is par for the course with me. I went home, climbed into bed and slept. The next morning, I went to work. Fortunately I have a sedentary job. I had very minor painİat the incision site (bellybutton) and more severe pain in the shoulder from the gas, but Advil was all I needed to deal with it.

A week later I went on vacation. This operation was the smartest thing I have ever done. It's so good to know I am safe and will never have a child. I didn't get hassled about wanting a tubal since my husband and I both agreed on it (may have been hassled if that had not been the case). I have proudly told people that I've been fixed. The breeders always look jealous when they hear that my life will be childfree --İfull of pets, travel, peace and quiet!
