Numbered Random Thoughts

  1. That pic of the gas prices actually seems cheap now. Scary.
  2. Used kitty litter is disgusting, but I’d rather deal with it than having to deal with diapers!
  3. I’m amazed at the progress I’ve made in a few areas of my life during the past year. Still a lot of work to be done, but I’se still climbin’
  4. I’m doing very well on my quest to recycle as much as I can. I can’t wait until the new recycling center is built, ’cause then I’ll be able to get cash for all the cat food cans!
  5. Left my Dojang because my main instructor is not an honorable man. Anyone who fucks with my husband and refuses to own up to it loses my trust, respect, and friendship. Period.
  6. George Michael’s album “Faith” has stood up to the test of time for me. It’s a great album.

Lotsa things

Trying to balance cleaning and sewing this weekend.

Got the dishes under control, and the Chez Feline is almost done. Still have to clear all my shit out of the living room, and I really don’t want to leave that for tomorrow. I won’t even consider cleaning my room until the rest of the house looks better, though I really do need to tidy up.

I made a couple cute bags today.  A couple were recycling old items–a skirt and a bag of pinto beans.  My husband commented that I’m getting better as a result of my lessons. 🙂

Crocheted part of my Faire costume–1 of 2 hats that I’ll need. Might have a basket. I’m totally looking forward to this!! 🙂

Took a whole lot of recycling to the dump yesterday. If the cats were toilet trained, I’d probably be able to recycle a good 80% of what we use. 😉

Adventures in Recycling

Today, I spent a fair amount of time compacting all the bags of recycling that’s been piling up.  (I really dig my trash compactor!)

First batch was the stuff that goes in the “household recyclables” bin at the dump.   That stuff piles up fast, so it’s nice to have it all smushed down into one bag.  (Well, two if you count the bag of cardboard boxes I broke down yesterday.)  I have to go to the bigger grocery store tomorrow, so I’ll make a dump run as well.

I compacted 4 bags worth of plastic bottles and aluminum cans down to 2.  I should be able to cash those in tomorrow, if I leave for the dojang early enough.
