Essure Story #2

I had my Essure procedure done on July 2, 2004. I was having a uterine fibroid removed at the same time so I was under general anesthesia, though, I've heard it can be done under local. I had very minimal discomfort the same day of the surgery and no discomfort whatsoever since. I had my hysterosalpingogram (HSG) done today to make sure my tubes are blocked. Happily, they are, so I don't have to have the procedure ever done again, as I must admit, it is somewhat painful. But, the most intense part of the pain only lasts a few seconds, so it's bareable. I recommend this procedure to anyone. Recovery from the surgery is so quick and there are no scars to deal with afterward. I am now officially off the birth control pill for good! Yay!!!
